 I was born in 1948: I have been a photographer for over 30 years both seriously and as a hobby and with breaks of varied length. I didn’t formally study photography but rather learnt it all by myself without any help from outside.

 Schon als Kind war ich von wilden Tieren fasziniert. Besonders hat mich die afrikanische Tierwelt begeistert. Ich habe mit 15 Jahren mit der Naturfotografie begonnen - anfangs natürlich nur zu Hause bzw. in Österreich. Meine erste Reise nach Afrika unternahm ich 1995 - seitdem bin ich von diesem berühmten "Afrika-Virus" unheilbar befallen.
