“I am based in Cornwall after many years of living in and photographing Australia.

I bought my first camera to take my mind off my then ‘day’ job. What I found was that looking through the lens not only distracted me from the stresses of the IT world, but I also saw the world in a different way. While my taste in subjects is eclectic, my passion for birds and wildlife meant a fast transition through the compact range of cameras to digital SLR’s which means I can now not only see my different world, but I can also bring it closer to me.

Aside from using my house as a hide to capture our beautiful native birds I am fortunate to be able to travel extensively. Images from recent trips to Kenya, Rwanda, Australia and the Galapagos Islands share pride of place on my web site along side images taken in Cornwall and throughout the UK.
I am passionate about both wildlife and photography; it is the results of those passions that I share on my website at http://sueearnshaw.co.uk/blog/

Our first safari in Kenya was organised by Sunworld in March 2009 and so good was our experience that we returned in August 2009. Our needs as photographers as well as travellers were all catered for, and a stay at the Mara bush Camp is a must.
Special thanks must go to Ken our guide on both occasions, his knowledge of Kenya’s national parks and the wildlife, his understanding of photographers requirements and his sense of humour made each of our trips memorable. We cannot wait to return.

A small collection of the images I took on these trips is below.”
