Maralal Safari lodge is a delightful tourist-class lodge situated in the Maralal Game Sanctuary just a few kilometers from the colorful frontier town of Maralal - the meeting place of the Samburu and Turkana people. The lodge has luxurious cedar-built cottages, and each bedroom has a private bathroom. It has a beautifully built cedar, makuti and galana stone public area which comprises of reception, boutique, restaurant and game-viewing lounge.

Much of this wildlife can be seen from the comfortable terrace of the Maralal Safari Lodge, for the only permanent water in the sanctuary is a small waterhole just a few meters away. Here, throughout the day, is an almost continuous pageant of wildlife.

Rooms:  20 double rooms, 14 of which have a separate loft area set  with a third bed, all in twin room chalets. Each bedroom has a sitting area and a fireplace.

Activities on offer at the lodge include: game/bird walks with rangers, visit to the Samburu Manyatta or visit to the Wilfred Thesinger Museum can be arranged. A Samburu and cultural show can also be arranged. Visit the house where Mzee Jomo Kenyatta was interned, now a museum of historical significance.
