Ngong House is a unique experience. Although you will be staying in 'tree houses' you will enjoy a very high degree of luxury. Four poster beds, crisp linen and exquisite, gourmet food are just the beginning. The main house and each tree house have fully stocked bars. The evenings start with sundowners on your verandah at tree level, from where you can watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Ngong Hills. Nature lovers can enjoy a large variety of birds feeding from the birdfeeder hanging in front of each tree house. After sunset, before dinner, drinks will continue with the other guests around the camp fire under an acacia tree nearby the swimming pool.
Ngong House is ideally situated for visits to many of Kenya's best attractions: Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, wonderful golf courses and the exciting market in down town Nairobi, etc. Built entirely from wood the tree houses are on two levels with a bedroom area upstairs and a living area on the lower floor. They are raised 15 ft from the ground to gain an uninterrupted view of the Ngong Hills over unspoiled bush. They are designed with extreme comfort in mind, yet the interiors have a decidedly rustic feel. The talents of regional artists and artisans add many of the finishing touches, such as hand woven rugs, bedcovers, lamps and stained glass. On the lower level there is a comfortable sitting area and a dining table enabling honeymooners to be served a four course candle lit dinner in the intimacy of their tree house. There is also an intimate dining area and a fully stocked bar, all entirely at your disposal. At the back of the house is a spacious bathroom with a shower and twin sinks. The front of the tree house has a verandah where you can eat, sleep, sunbathe or just enjoy the view.
At the Ngong House, you have a choice of staying at one of the 5 tree houses, a private cottage facing the swimming pool, a log cabin perfect for families or a suite in the main house, ideal for the elderly and the disabled.
