Art of Grass and Safari
art of grass and safariOne of Europe’s most famous Photographer’s “Ingo Arndt” has dedicated his passion to a most important habitat for wildlife “The Grasslands”. It offers food and grounds for survival to a large variety of wildlife.
Ingo Arndt dedicated 2 years of his life to this project and has traveled the world to complete it.
In East Africa, he always traveled with Sunworld Safaris. Especially in the Savannah of the beautiful Maasai Mara Game Reserve, he has found stunning motives. We are proud to be associated with Mr. Arndt and to be supporting this fantastic project.

The result is a book of 256 pages with over 200 photographic images !
Neue Visa Regelung in Kenia

Mit 1.7.2015 sind in Kenia neue VISA Regelungen in Kraft getreten. Es wurde das eVisa, ein elektronisches Touristenvisum eingeführt. Dies ist eine zusätzliche Möglichkeit das Visum für Kenia zu erhalten.

Besucher können das Visum über die Internetseite www.ecitizen.go.ke nach Registrierung als Besucher beantragen und per Kreditkarte bezahlen. Die Visagebühr beträgt 50 US$ plus einer Servicegebühr von und 1 US$.
The Migration is on
Image01st July 2015: The largest wildlife show & migration has once again started its annual spectacle. Already 2 weeks ago the first larger herds of wildebeest and zebra were spotted crossing over Sand River between the Mara & Serengeti Eco-systems. In the meantime though the group sizes have increased and so has the influx into the Mara. It is slow but steady.

Daphne Sheldricks Elephants Orphans

In addition to our long standing support of Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, our donations through our Austrian Office & the many “Save the Elephant Safaris” to Ithumba, we would like to inform our guests, that we too have joined the bandwagon in adopting a little baby elephant orphan.

St. Johns Primary School - Charity Trip
crescent_island.jpgThe annual Charity Trip sponsored by Sunworld Safaris took place on the 25th .October 2013. A total of 50 pupils and 5 teachers participated in the trip to the Crescent Island in Lake Naivasha. The trip was specifically organized for class 8 pupils who are due to sit for their final exams on 11th November 2013.

St. Johns Primary School, located in the middle of Korogocho Slum area in Nairobi caters for pupils mostly from very poor families, orphaned children and rehabilitated street children. The School has had remarkable academic success in the past, especially in 2013 where they achieved good grades and sent many pupils to join National School. This has also attracted pupils from the neighboring Dandora, Kariobangi slums and estates.
Safari for kids of the Nest Childrens Home Limuru
naivasha1.jpgThe 5th of January was a special day for the little childern of The Nest Childrens Home Limuru.Sunworld Safaris sponsored a day trip to the Crescent Island in Naivasha for them to welcome the new year.

A total of 55 children and 8 caretakers took part in the trip which started at 0930hrs.Two luxury Rosa buses (provided by Executive Shuttle on complimentary basis) and 01 Landcruiser (Sunworld) were used to take the children to Lake Naivasha, through the rich farming area of Limuru.

A brief stop at the Great Rift valley escarpment provided a good opportunity for the children to see for themselves what they have been hearing and reading about in school.
Napenda Kuishi and St Johns Korogocho - Charity Trip
safari_kids_2012.jpgThe annual Charity trip sponsored by Sunworld Safaris took place on the 23.06.2012. A total of 47 pupils and 4 caretakers participated in the  day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park. The selection was done from 02 rehabilitation centers. St. Johns Korogocho sent  26 pupils  and Napenda Kuishi pupils  21 . St John’s Korogocho caters for children who have just been rescued from the streets. After a short period of rehabilitation, they are transferred to Napenda Kuishi Children’s Home about 40 km away from the Slum area in Korogocho where they are given further counseling and taken to school.
