The selection was done from 02 rehabilitation centers. St. Johns Korogocho sent  26 pupils  and Napenda Kuishi pupils  21 . St John’s Korogocho caters for children who have just been rescued from the streets. After a short period of rehabilitation, they are transferred to Napenda Kuishi Children’s Home about 40 km away from the Slum area in Korogocho where they are given further counseling and taken to school.

The trip provided a good opportunity for the children to interact and exchange  invaluable ideas. It was evident that the recently rescued boys from Korogocho slums  envied the already rehabilitated boys of Napenda Kuishi.

The children were picked early in the morning from their various stations and transferred to Lake Nakuru National park  through the scenic rift valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment . Upon arrival in Nakuru, they were given a brief lecture on the importance of wildlife environmental conservation at the KWS education center thereafter they proceeded on game drive in the National Park which lasted 3hrs.
