Park entry fee for Masai Mara Game Reserve
A new attempt is being made to the curb the misuse of the Park tickets and fees. With immediate effect all Tour operators and private visitors will have to buy the entry tickets in advance in Nairobi for the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Payments can only be made using bank er's cheques or else be obtained in advance. Only KATO members are allowed to pay using company cheques in exceptionsl cases. This means that the use of hard cash will no longer be accepted at any entry point of the reserve. This has a negative impact on self-drive clients as they are no longer flexible to just enter in & out of the game reserve or extend nights as they please.
