Safari for the Slum Children |

This year was not that easy for anybody in Kenya. The economy and its investments were hard hit. The setback in the tourism sector led to major job losses. In spite of the down turn we stayed true to our promise to organize a trip for 50 children from St.John informal school from the Korogocho slum .
This was a great opportunity for the slum Kids to have a break from their daily life which is full of misery and sadnees to get to know the beauty of their own country. The children visited Hells gate National Park and learnt about Fauna & Flora as well as the importance of conserving their natural heritage. A delicious lunch at Elsamere and a boat ride were the highlights of the day. A day with a descent meal and being relaxed for a while is an indescribably wonderful experience for these Kids.
We have been organizing such trips for a number of years, and 2008 was no exception. We also do other charity work in Kenya but always look forward to making the children happy while educating them at the same time. We wouldn’t have managed to do all this without the help of our regular clients who stay true to us.
