Samburu Serena Lodge
Samburu Serena Safari Lodge is located in the centre of the Samburu Game Reserve , a semi-arid, open savannah plain broken by small rugged hills in Kenya's Northern Province. Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River with its crocodiles and leopards, the lodge is rustic yet sophisticated and captures the robust rhythms of the riverside.

The hotel boasts 62 rooms, including 8 family rooms and a superb swimming pool surrounded by thatched umbrellas and native trees. Making full use of the native materials and artwork, blending in perfectly with the environment, all guest rooms are located in wooden thatched cottages surrounded by lush gardens. Each cottage has a private verandah overlooking the river so that the crocodiles can be seen feeding.

Opt for a magical, moon-lit, bush dinner looking out over the meandering reaches of the Uaso Nyiro River as well various other activities such as Samburu guided camel tracks across the shimmering scrub-desert to a near by vantage point offering panoramic views, sundowner's around the camp fire or watching as the elephant gather by the river, the shy leopard arrives for his meat and the reverie wildlife theatre begins.

Samburu Serena offers guests a variety of exciting pleasurable trips including picnics and nature trails, accompanied by resident naturalists. An early morning game drive followed by an evocative bush breakfast uniquely staged at the crocodile point. Samburu tribal dancing and performances by local musicians, traditional Samburu handmade market and day trips to neighboring reserves of buffalo springs and Shaba National Reserve are also available for guests, a true African feeling!
