This part of the safari ensures that you get to know Kenya from a “driving perspective”. You have a chance of experiencing landscapes & the country itself at first hand while driving through it in your private, custom built 4 x 4 vehicle. The extension can also be arranged by air (on request) if preferable. NAKURU – TSAVO WEST – AMBOSELI – NAIROBI DAY 15: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park Early morning breakfast and depart by road for the popular Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your tented camp for a late lunch and enjoy your first afternoon game drive around the lake and its environs, in anticipation to view the endangered Black & White Rhino, Defasa Waterbuck and Rothschild Giraffe. A true spectacle though are the hundreds of thousands of flamingoes coloring the lake pink. Lake Nakuru is indeed an ornithological paradise. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp(FB). DAY 16: Lake Nakuru National Park Spend a full day in the park with unlimited game drives in your private 4 x 4 vehicle and with your guide. Visit the scenic viewpoint on baboon cliff, overlooking the “pink lake” and scenic park, as well as Makalia Falls where you could enjoy a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp (FB).

You may want to do a short early morning game drive in this paradise. After breakfast you will be leaving for the wild Tsavo West National Park, famous for its “red elephants” due to their habit of dusting themselves in “red soil”. You will stop over in Nairobi for a scrumptious lunch of barbecued meat at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Continue to Tsavo West National Park with a game drive en-route to arrive your luxury tented camp late afternoon / early evening. Dinner and overnight at Finch Hattons Camp(FB). DAY 18 & 19: Tsavo West National Park Spend full days in Tsavo West National Park, synonymous for the “African Wilderness”. Enjoy unlimited game drives and walk through Mzima Springs, an oasis and haven for wildlife with its crystal clear water welling up from volcanic rocks, where hippos and crocodiles dwell in the cool spring water. Visit “Sheitani”, the largest lava flow in the world or take a peak from “viewpoint”, overlooking the park and its wildlife below . Dinner and overnight at Finch Hatton’s Camp. (FB) DAY 20: Tsavo West – Amboseli National Park Breakfast at the Camp and depart for Amboseli National Park, driving past the picturesque Chyulu Hills and view the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro from a different angle. Arrive at your luxurious tented camp for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in search for “the Big Five”. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Camp. (FB) DAY 21: Amboseli National Park Wake up early morning to view the highest mountain Africa’s, majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro in its unrivalled glory. This is usually the best time to catch an unclouded view of the snow-capped extinct volcano. Enjoy this picturesque setting while on game drive with wildlife grazing peacefully against the backdrop of the mountain. Return for breakfast to your camp. Rest of the morning at leisure to relax under the African Acacia Tree and its tranquil surrounding, making Tortilis so famous. After lunch we invite you for another exciting game drive to view Kenya’s largest elephant herds, big cats and plains game as well as its prolific bird life. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Camp. DAY 22: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi Wake up at dawn for your final morning game drive. After breakfast depart for Nairobi where you will arrive early afternoon. We shall drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. (to the coast or back home) Day excursions in Nairobi, a day room in Nairobi or dinner can be arranged at an additional cost.
