David Sameri Olochike
Letter from David Sameri Olochike: I was born in 1981 in Narok County. My dad worked at Maasai Mara game Reserve, one of the eighth wonders of the world, and during my school holidays visits to him, I begun to develop an interest in the flora and fauna. My passion for wildlife and conservation developed at an early stage, and by the time I finished my primary school, I took tourism as my full time career.I am a member of Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association at the bronze level. My career in the tourism sector started as an ‘in house’ intern at Siana Spring, after attaining a diploma in Tour Guiding and Administration. Being a Spanish speaking Guide I secured my first job in a Tour company in Nairobi. I worked with various tour operators both in Nairobi and Maasai Mara before joining Sunworld Safaris who specializes in tailor-made safaris. Here I perfected my guiding knowledge about Kenya and its Wildlife, as well as the neighboring countries. What I treasure most in being a Guide is interacting a lot with many people and exchanging the cultural differences. My hobbies include meeting new friends, travelling, conserving both flora and fauna and playing soccer. |
