Experience & Qualifications: Bronze Guide (KPSGA).
Letter from Eric:
I was born in January 1982 in the famous Great Rift Valley. I come from the Kalenjin community, commonly known for long distance running. I grew up in an area with amazing landscape and many animals, hence getting used to wildlife at a very tender age.
After my high school education I joined the school of engineering and graduated with a diploma in automotive engineering. I later on joined the Kenya Wildlife Society for courses in wildlife management and conservation.
I was first employed at Sanctuary lodges in the famous Maasai Mara as a Safari guide cum Mechanic at Olonana Camp. I have had the opportunity of doing several Safaris with guests from different parts of the world. I joined Sunworld Safaris in August 2011 with the aim of improving my skills in guiding. So far I have had many successful Safaris and have had the opportunity of going on Safari with photographers.
I am a bronze member of the Kenya Professional guide Association of Kenya and also an active member of Nature Kenya where I have participated in many nature walks as I truly enjoy birding. My hobbies include travelling, making new friends and hiking. My aim is to learn more about the country and its beautiful National Parks and Game Reserves even in the remotest areas. The Mara is and will always be my home !
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you ! |
