Qualifications: BRONZE Guide (KPSGA) Letter from Justus: I was born and brought in Meru District, in a village known as Mpuri sub location on the 23rd January 1960. I did my primary education at Mpuri D.E.B School and proceeded on for secondary education at Katheri High School where I attained my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) in 1981. Thereafter, I joined Thika National College to study Motor Vehicle Mechanics and General Fitting of vehicles.My work experience was quite varied. In June 1985, I joined a construction company as a mechanic and worked with them for two years. Afterwards, I joined Kenatco Taxis as a mechanic as I enjoyed working with vehicles and this is where I came into contact with a lot of different people who inspired my interest in tourism and wildlife. I decided to change my career completely and joined Night Sight Tours as a driver / guide where I was stationed in the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. I learnt a great deal about our wildlife and landscapes in Kenya during my stay in the Mara. After working with them for 07 years, I decided to return to Nairobi and study the Spanish Language. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2006 as a guide and have been very happy since. It was always my desire to get to know the entire country and not only the Maasai Mara. Meanwhile I am an expert up north and have completed several excursions to Lake Turkana & Northern Kenya as a whole. Furthermore, I have been stationed south & know also Lamu / Mombasa and its environs very well. Hobbies: My hobbies include playing football, reading and swimming I have a keen interest in knowing more about foreign cultures. |
