Letter from Peter:
I was born in Kenya and have spent most of my life
exploring the bushes thus gaining a deep appreciation and knowing intimately
the hidden treasures unknown to many others. I can thus claim Kenya to be my "backyard".
I am a trained professional safari guide having worked with Sunworld Safaris
for the last two years, and a member and bronze holder of Kenya Professional
Safari Guides Association. My birding enthusiasm and fundamental knowledge in
natural history was triggered by the East Africa Natural History Society nature
walks, where I have been assisting in organizing and occasionally leading the
walks leading to me acquiring a Diploma in Ornithology. Having also been a volunteer
guide at the Natural History Museum of Kenya, it was a major boost in my career
and a great exposure, tapping crucial knowledge and obtaining the necessary and
vital guiding skills.
My outspoken personality and my interest in
nature make me an ideal company for a specialized safari or a general interest
tour group. I have an intimate love for conservation and in-depth knowledge of Kenya's eco-system having been involved in
wildlife conservation doing anti-poaching and de-snaring sweeps in Kenya's
national parks, reserves and wildlife sanctuaries where I also spend most of my
time exploring new places and sharing my knowledge.
