Follow the annual spectacular wildlife migration from the Serengeti to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Experience one of the world’s natural wonders from August to October while witnessing the breathtaking wildebeest crossings over the Mara River. MOMBASA – MAASAI MARA- MOMBASA Meal Plan:BB - bed & breakfast (breakfast only) HB - half board (breakfast & dinner) FB - full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner) DAY 01: Mombasa / Ukunda - Maasai Mara You will be picked up in the morning from your beach hotel and taken to Ukunda Airstrip (or Mombasa Airport) for your flight to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival your guide will pick you up from the airstrip to transfer you to the intimate & beautiful Mara Bush Camp. This small mobile luxury tented camp offers an unbeatable location during the Great Wildebeest migration and is only operational from August to October. You will experience excellent game sightings around the camp area, including breathtaking wildebeest crossings over the Mara River. We invite you for your first exciting game drive in the afternoon. DAY 02: Masai Mara Game Reserve Enjoy your early morning coffee / tea at your private tent verandah with view of the river. Join another exciting game drive in your 4 x 4 vehicle at sunrise. This is the best time to see various Big game hunting in their natural habitat. Breatkfast at Camp and relaxation at leisure. Since the camp is not fenced, different game can be viewed unobstructed. Of particular interest however are the various hippo pools which can be visited on foot. Or you may simply relax in one of the camp's hammocks where you can listen to the calm of the bush around you. Another game drive is taking place in the late afternoon when the heat of the day reduces. Once again, you will spot various Big and Small game and you can let the day end in front of the camp fire whilst enjoying a sun downer cocktail. Dinner and overnight at Mara Bush Camp. (FB)
DAY 03: Maasai Mara - Mombasa / Ukunda Early morning tea / coffee in your tent or if you prefer in the main mess tent. Enjoy your last impressive game drive in this wildlife paradise with its numerous wildebeest, crossing the plains & steppe of the reserve. Breakfast at camp where you may rest or join another game drive. A delicious al-fresco lunch is served with view of the river. (weather permitting this can be outside) At 13.30 hrs you will be transferred for your flight at 14.00 hrs to Mombasa / Ukunda. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your beach hotel.
