This Safari is ideal for a „first time visitor“ to Kenya who appreciates a first glimpse of Kenya’s stunning wildlife & unrivalled magical landscape. The advantage is that joining a group offers a more reasonably priced safari for the individual intrepid traveller.
Nairobi - Amboseli - Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara - Nairobi
Meal Plan: BB - bed & breakfast (breakfast only) HB - half board (breakfast & dinner) FB - full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner) ItineraryDAY 01: 07th November 2010- Arrival in NairobiArrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport where you will be met by our Sunworld Representative. Transfer to your town hotel, Nairobi Safari Club. Overnight at The Nairobi Safari Club. (BB) DAY 02: 08th November 2010 Nairobi – Amboseli Nationalpark We shall pick you up after breakfast at 08.00 hrs and drive to the scenic Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephant and for Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Arrival in time for lunch. You will enjoy your first game drive en-route to the lodge. After lunch you will get a chance to view Africa’s wildlife first hand. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. (FB)
DAY 03-04: 09th November 2010– 10th November 2010 Amboseli Nationalpark Early morning game drive. With a bit of luck and clear weather, the snow capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen in the morning & late afternoon hours. Return for breakfast to your safari lodge. Relax in the beautiful lodge environs, set amidst an aciacia forest. Lunch and afternoon game drive in the park. If you prefer, you could undertake a full day game drive and have your lunch as a picnic out in the bush. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. (FB) DAY 05: 11th November 2010 Amboseli Nationalpark – Nairobi – Lake Nakuru NP.

DAY 06: 12th November 2010 Lake Nakuru National Park Spend a wonderful and unforgetable day in this wildlife rich paradise. Numerous game drives will ensure that your day is action packed. Visit the Makalia water falls & enjoy a beautiful view of the park from Baboon Cliff. There are excellent opportunities to photograph the „pink lake“ (usually hundreds of thousands of flamingoes) as well as spotting the endangered White and Black Rhino. With a bit of luck you may encounter the elusive leopard. All meals and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp. (FB) DAY 07: 13th November 2010 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve After an early breakfast we depart for the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. We shall be through the Great Rift Valley and past extinct volcanoes to arrive at the luxurious Mara Bush Camp. Lunch al-fresco at the camp & enjoy an extended game drive afterwards in this magical game paradise. With a bit of luck you may still encounter the Annual Great Migration which is expected in the Mara by end of July & crosses back from the Mara by October / November. This wildlife spectacle is unique to Kenya and portrays the last plains game migration on this planet. Dinner and overnight at Mara Bush Camp. (FB) DAY 08 - 09: 14th – 15th November 2010 Masai Mara Game Reserve Early morning game drive and breakfast at camp. Thereafter the vehicle & guide are at your disposal throughout the day. You may start before sun rise and end at sun set. We request that park rules / opening times are respected though. You may take packed meals with you out into the bush, such as lunch. All other meals provided at the camp. Overnight at Mara Bush Camp. (FB)
DAY 10: 16th November 2010 Masai Mara – Nairobi This is your last early morning game drive. After breakfast depart for Nairobi (via the Maasai town Narok) to reach the city late afternoon at approx. 16.00 hrs. We may then transfer you to your on-ward international or local flight, depending on your travel arrangements. Alternatively, you can be dropped off at a city hotel. (we can assist in arranging the accommodation) End of all arrangements !
We are happy to offer you an extension of this safari to the Kenyan Coast and will be happy to send you an offer. Kindly book all international flights direct. For arrivals before the 07th of November or if you are booked on a later return date, we will be pleased to assist you with bookings for accommodation in Nairobi. (at an extra cost) |
