Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge opened its doors in 1986, being the fourth Sarova establishment (first was Ambassador). The lodge gets its name from the hill directly behind it that was a lion's abode.
Lion Hill is a beautiful retreat set in Lake Nakuru National Park - home to thousands of pink flamingoes and pelicans. This exotic park boasts a rich concentration of wildlife including black and white colobus monkeys and is also a rhino sanctuary. Look for temperamental black rhinos browsing in the bushes, and larger white rhinos cropping grass along the lakeside. Nowhere else will you get a photo of a rhino with a back drop of pink flamingos sifting food from a shimmering lake.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge has 64 chalets and 3 suites all overlooking the lake. It is a perfect place to experience one of the world's largest ornithological spectacles in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.
Activities at Lion Hill Game Lodge include: Traditional dancing every evening at the Rift Valley Bar terrace. Guitarist at the restaurant and bar during and after dinner. Animation Activities for Leisure. Board games and other indoor games such as table tennis, darts and pool game. Other activities include Acacia Bush lunches and private dinning in the suites and the gardens at an extra charge.
