In the first 02 weeks of September we came once again to Kenya. Having booked 02 reliable Sunworld Vehicles & most of all two knowledgeable and well experienced  guides, we made our way to the famous Mara Game Reserve. It truly fulfilled all our dreams and exceeded our expectations. On every single day we were witnesses of the various types of big cats that exist in the wild, seeing them in their natural habit: hunting, playing, eating & sleeping. Our highlights included a cheetah mother with 04 young ones,  and a number of crossings over the Talek River of a 15 member pride of lions as well as 03 very active & social cheetah brothers.

There was a 04th cat that we discovered through our binoculars. Our guide John with his eagle eyes discovered a Serval cat in the high yellow grass. We were able to follow her closely while watching and photographing her during a hunt. Her prey were guinea pig like animals. She chewed these various times and then swallowed them as a whole. We suspected that she had young ones in her den that needed to be fed but never saw any cubs. The next day some other fellow guests at the Bush Camp found two tiny young Serval cat cubs playing in the grass and around a large termite hill. This was truly a wonderful & very rare sight as a Serval cat is mostly nocturnal & active only during the night.
