Kakamega Forest National Reserve |
Kakamega was declared as a national reserve in May, 1985. It is the
only natural tropical rainforest left in Kenya today - quite a change
from the olden times when dense rainforest covered West Africa and
Central Africa, extending to the walls of the Great Rift Valley.

Kamnarok National Reserve |
The Kamnarok National Reserve is located 260 kilometers from Nairobi
and was set up 1983. It is about 25 kilometers from the Lake Baringo
Airstrip and can be accessed through both road and air.

The Wildlife Sanctuary was opened in October 1992, to protect a herd of
