Mt Kenya is an imposing extinct volcano dominating the landscape of the
Kenyan Highlands, East of the Rift Valley. Mt Kenya lies about 140km
North, North-East of Nairobi with its Northern flanks across the
equator. The mountain has two main peaks - Batian (5200m) and Nelion
(5188m).

Mount Longonot National Park |
The name Longonot is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong'ot meaning
mountains of many spurs or steep ridges. Longonot park covers 52 km2
most of it being occupied by Mt Longonot a young volcano rising to
