Alf Jacob Nilsen Alf Jacob Nilsen was born in 1954 and lives in south-western Norway at the small island of Hidra where he works in school teaching natural history and mathematics. He has been active as a photographer for two decades and is now a part-time professional photographer running the photo agency “Bioquatic Photo” (www.biophoto.net ). Educated as a biologist from the University of Bergen, he focuses mainly on nature photography. He has worked with coral reefs and their biology and has taken a general interest in tropical biology. After traveling a lot to the far east and Australia, he has now focused on Africa and the magnificent wildlife on the African savannah. The year 2008 will include photographic field trips to northern Norway and to the Arctic.
