My great passion for Africa and especially its wildlife started 40 years ago when my daughter Kerstin then six years old, traveled with me. We had rented a 4 x4 vehicle which kept on breaking down during the Safari. We had brought with us small tents all the way from Germany and had a chance to see Amboseli National park with its then beautiful Acacia forests. In those days one could drive from Masai Mara right through to the Serengeti without coming across a single car. We have journeyed the west route of the Sahara in a Volkswagen bus and have also made several yearly excursions to the Western / Central & Southern part of the African Continent.

It was a great personal experience, to be in Africa and see it in every aspect. We would all take photos at the onset, later on we shared the duties; Kerstin would take the photos and I do the filming. We don't want to make any gains out of our photography but encourage others through our photos to visit the African continent particularly East Africa.

Our success concept for unique photos :
Experience and fundamental knowledge of wildlife behavior, patience and more patience. We love animals very much and they seem to know this, that's why we can walk closer to them without frightening them or disturbing them. Kerstin says it's because of our love for the Big Cats.

"We support the protection of the Grevy zebra in northern Kenya through the „Save the Grevyzebra“ project

It all started in Africa; every journey is a return to the very start.
