Maggy Meyer "I live in Berlin, working as a IT-Administrator in the public service, and for the last 12 years have traveled & explored Africa's National Parks and Reserves during my holidays. South & Eastern Africa has drawn me into its spell since my very first safari. My friends and family often ask me: "What is it that attracts you to go on safari again and again?" It is hard to put into words; I like to quote Karen Blixen, which describes it for me so fittingly: "There is something about ‘safari-life' that makes you forget all your worries and gives you the feeling of having just drunk half a bottle of Champagne - there is something that makes you bubble over for a deep heartfelt gratitude for life ..." I have two passions; one is the observation of animals in the wild, especially the big cats and elephants, on the other is my enthusiasm for photography. At first I was traveling with an analog camera, and now I have two digital SLRs with me. With my travel reports and photography I would like to inspire people to the wonders of the wilderness of Africa. Working with my photos helps me bridge the time and my longing for Africa until the next safari. The Masai Mara, Samburu Reserve in Kenya, and the Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area in Tanzania are my favorite places for wildlife photography and observation.
