Manuel Presti (born 1967)

His passion for Nature started as he was a kid, increasingly becoming an important part of his life. He has been photographing wildlife, flowers and details in Nature for the past 30 years both in his homeland and in other regions of the world. Currently he lives in Italy after longer periods spent in Germany and USA.

His photographic style concentrates on the emotional impact of the subject, trying to focus on its essence to enhance the shapes, hues and the dynamism in Nature. His images have been awarded at international contests (Overall Winner at 2005 BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Category winner and highly commended at European Nature Photographer year 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008; Glanzlichter 2004, 2005, etc.).

Manuel Presti was also named one of the best wildlife photographers worldwide in the magazine „Digital Photographer" in the year 2007.
Further he was selected as one of the best wildlife photographers in Europe for the project  „Wild Wonders of Europe. "

His images can be found in Europe and worldwide (National Geographic, NaturFoto, Natur&Kosmos, etc.).

His book  "Tempo - From the Instant to Eternity" was published by Tecklenborg in spring 2008.

Tempo - Herzschlag der Natur In Nature some things happen fast, others apparently take forever: birds take off, water flows, flowers bloom, water freezes and thaws, rock is formed and decays again. Sun and wind create atmospheres, hues and shapes flow together, harmonize and complement each other. Manuel Presti photographs the various cadences of Nature with a sensitive approach, focuses instants to the essence and condenses atmospheres as an opera into poetic and graceful images conveying calmness and harmony.
