Romain GRISIUS, born in 1966 is a Wildlife-photographer who lives in Luxemburg. He has visited different parts of the African continent since1996, including the vast Savannah areas that characterize much of Africa as well as the Virunga Mountains of Rwanda, famous for their gorillas. In the remote mountains of Mahale in Tanzania, he photographed free ranging wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat; along the South African coast he made a documentary of the spectacular hunting forays of the Great White Shark in the waters off Robbin Island. Despite all these wonderful experiences, this wildlife photographer still goes back to his favorite haunt, the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The yearly wildebeest migration in particular is permanently marked on his calendar; this remarkable drama is always worth a visit for Grisius. His photos have done remarkably well both in national and international competitions, among others participating in the world renowned, ‘BBC Wildlife Photographer of the year' competition. His photos are published in a variety of Magazines and professional journals. "Through my photos, I try to communicate to the viewer more than what the eye can see. With the current world of photography being flooded, my photos should be real and have originality in the viewers eyes."
