Aberdare National Park aberdare_falls.jpgThe Aberdare National Park covers the higher areas of the Aberdare Mountain Range of central Kenya. According to traditional Kikuyu folklore they are one of the homes of Ngai (God).

Arawale National Reserve HirolaThe Arawale National Park was set up with the primary motive of protecting a rare antelope species. It is near the Tana river.

Boni National Reserve TopiBoni National Reserve is a 1,339sq. km forest reserve. It was created as a sanctuary for elephants.



Buffalo Springs National Reserve OryxThe Buffalo Springs National Reserve is along with the reserves Samburu and Shaba one of the manifold  nature reserves with  more than 400sq km. 

Central Island National Park central_island.jpgThe park is within Lake Turkana and Central Island is only 5 km2. The major attractions are the three crater lakes - Crocodile Lake, Flamingo Lake & Tilapia Lake, Central Island also hosts an active volcano.

Chyulu Hills National Park zebra.jpgThe Chyulu Hills National Park was established in 1983 with a total area of 741sq km. The Chyulu Hills are the youngest vulcan mountains of africa. They are only 500 years old and covered with grass. The national park is situated 190km in the south east from Nairobi.

Dodori National Reserve Vogel - LamuThe reserve gets its name from the river ending in the Indian Ocean at Dodori Creek. It was established in 1976 and is situated on the northernmost corner of the Kenyan shoreline. It shares its border with the Boni National Reserve.
