My husband and I along with our friends had a fabulous safari experience.
Let me begin with Tracy and Joanne who helped us plan the safari. They were always prompt with emails, answering all our questions; sometimes the same questions more than once .
Mohamed, our guide was everything a guide should be. His knowledge of the wildlife, the area, the local culture, the vegetation was amazing. We just did not return home having seen some wildlife, but we returned enriched and educated. His tracking skills are just great plus his patience and sense of humor made our trip really fun. We also admired his respect for the animals, the parks and the local culture. He was cautious and took us around safely. We would recommend Mohamed highly.
We saw many animals including leopards and cheetahs. Lake Nakuru was a disappointment as we barely saw two dozen flamingos. We realize these things cannot be predicted but perhaps we could have avoided that destination as there is not much around there.
Little Mara Bush Camp was great. We loved the fact it was quite small. We had tents that faced the river and it was great to hear the hippos all night. The tents were spacious, furnished with comfortable beds and hot showers. It would have been nice if the tents were lit brighter. It was difficult to spot things in our bags or pack the suitcases at night and we were out on game drives during daylight.
Food was quite good, with vegetarian options but not to the same level as Sweet waters tented
camps. Michela ,the camp manger was very friendly helpful and she made every effort to get to know us and assure us a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly, always looking to help us. It was really nice to have a tent dedicated to charging our phones and camera batteries, something the other camps did not have.
We want to thank Sunworld Safari for a wonderful time. :p

Dear Sunworld Safaris,

a big heartfelt thank you for my recent safari to the Maasai Mara! I had another unique and unforgettable stay and birthday at Mara Bush Camp! Everything was so perfect!

A very special thank you goes to my wonderful tourguide Mwashi and his colleagues! They found so many elephants for me... :grin The most touching moment for me was when Soila, the youngest female in a small elephant family which i am following for three years now, had given birth to her first calf, a little baby boy who we named Siranka, just one day before my birthday! What a very precious early birthday gift for me!

I can`t wait to be back in March next year!

With love from Germany,
Kerstin

Jambo!

Friends and neighbors are still getting a kick out of us practicing our Swahili!!

The whole trip was, in a word, fantastic. All three camps were very satisfactory. Each was unique with its own highlights:

* Little Mara Bush Camp had a great design. It was interesting having come from Naibor Camp where the "touches" were definitely masculine. Little Mara had a softer feminine feel to it with ample storage and more usable space. The staff was terrific and very professional. Michela proved to be an excellent Manager and we were quite impressed with her "Eclastic Jewelry" Project.

*Kicheche Valley Camp was a treat with the open and airy design of the tents and common area. Only complaint was a too hard bed. And that was easily overlooked as we did not go to the Naboisho Conservancy to sleep!
Loved the open views. Val and Brendan were excellent hosts. The whole experience at the camp had a more intimate feel with their presence. Meals were eaten together at one table. Many wonderful stories were exchanged. Francis was our guide and we were amazed at his ability to spot wildlife. We saw so much because of his skills.

*Tortilis Camp was a great place to end the trip. It was a treat to be able to wonder through camp without needing an escort in the evenings. It did have more of a "big business" feel to it after the wonderful days we spent in the Mara.

Food everywhere was very good. Huge vegetable garden at Tortilis was definitely an asset. Enjoyed Michela's Italian influence at Little Mara.

Mohammed was an excellent guide. He was ever patient and determined to get us the best experience possible. His tracking skills were impeccable. We would recommend him to anyone going on safari. He was friendly and quick to share his knowledge.

Alex took good care of us in Nairobi our last day. The Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage and Karen Blixen Museum were highlights as was lunch in the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. It was a long day for us since our flight out was so late, no fault of Sunworld!

Again, it was a fantastic trip. We saw so much, experienced so much, and are now missing it so much. Everyday a new memory awaits us. We will recommend Sunworld to anyone seeking a great Safari experience.

Sincerely,
Linda and Greg

We have just returned from an amazing 11 day safari throughout Amboseli and Tsavo East and West with Sunworld Safaris. There were 4 of us and we all had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. It really was a trip of a lifetime.

Our driver John was fantastic. He did his best to find all the animals for us and was very good at spotting things that we wouldn't have. We were very lucky to see the Big 5 plus a lot more. We always felt safe and comfortable with John, given his knowledge of the areas we visited and his experience with wildlife. I would definitely use John again and would also highly recommend him and Sunworld Safaris to any friends and family members who wish to travel to Africa in the future.

We were all very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation as had expected it would have been more basic. We especially loved Kilaguni Lodge. The food and service here was the best we experienced during our whole time in Africa. We really felt like we were living it up and would have loved a second night here.

Manyatta Camp at Voi was a great location which enabled us to watch elephants and other wildlife walking right past our tent entrance in the morning as the sun was rising. This was a wonderful way to start our day.

The real highlight was our visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Voi stockades in the evening and staying at Ithumba camp for 4 nights spending hours with the orphaned elephants, ex orphans and wild elephants. I could have stayed here forever !!! The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is an amazing organisation and it was great to actually see this first hand. For anyone who loves elephants, I would strongly suggest including this on your itinerary as it was magical and an experience I will treasure forever. The staff at Ithumba were also lovely and the meals they cooked were delicious. Another pleasant surprise as we thought we would be cooking for ourselves.

Overall, everything ran very smoothly. Even when our flight was delayed out of Uganda, John was waiting patiently for us with a big welcoming smile at Nairobi airport.

A big thanks to all involved for making our holiday the best holiday ever. You made everything very easy for us right from our initial enquiry, through to the final itinerary that you put together.

We look forward to being back in Africa some time soon. We loved it !!!!!!

Thanks again
Michelle Hardie

Liebes Sunworld-Team,
