Jambo Sunworld:
Asante sana for an incredible adventure! It began before I left the U.S. with the great Rebecca from the Sunworld office - I had no concerns when I left for my first trip to Africa, she made me feel like everything was taken care of and no need to worry. Meeting her at the Nairobi Safari Club was a bonus - she is a lovely person. Our week-long adventures at Lake Nakuru and the Mara Bush Camp exceeded expectations - the rooms, food, services, people. Our guide Paul was so knowledgeable, upbeat, energetic, and all-around great guy to spend a week in a SUV with! I miss the Mara already and hope to return.

Dear Joanne,
Back home after a very good flight on Kenya Airways with an early arrival into Heathrow.
May we first start by thanking you for our 'Welcome Safari Hats' and the very handsome book on Kenya that greeted us on arrival into Jomo Kenyatta.
You already know that the arrangements all went well and each Camp was not only excellent but very different...so a quick resumee:
Flight with Yellow Wings with Martin N. who was also our Pilot on return from Baringo....and great company on both trips.
Elsa's.....the honeymoon cottage gave the most spectacular views of a daily sunrise that never failed to excite....with game drives that enabled us to take exceptional photographs of four very young lion cubs and close-ups of Rhinos...
Elephant Watch....remarkably re-built after a devastating flood to offer our most spectacular 'cottage' with a truly remarkable guide 'Bernard' who 'found' a superb Leopard walking slowly in front of us and leaping into tree branches just above our vehicle...among many more great days walking and driving 'with the elephants'.
Great low-level flight with Rick of Tropic Air to Kitich.
Kitich....more simple but more a typical safari camp (ie no running water and long-drop toilet) so a great African 'feel' with an elephant only meters from our tent dining on a nearby tree. Great walks to their swimming pool and sightings of 'wild' elephant with delightful 'sundowners' around a fire that we had to ourselves.
Kyle Lucas was our Pilot from Kitich to Lewa and another excellent flight.
Lewa....most remembered for an 'Impala' entering our palatial 'cottage' . A well horned buck followed the waiter into our door when delivering our early dinner before a night-drive. Again our guide 'Mwangi' was great at finding 'Cheethah' to make our sitings of all major mammals 'complete'. A swirling flight of thousands of roosting swallows was one of Mwangi's as well as our own 'firsts'. Laikipia provide a great quantity of 'game'
including many 'black' rhinos....more lion (mating) .....with very few vehicles. We enjoyed 'slipping the surly bonds of earth' with Will Craig in his WACO bi-plane.
Final flight with Rick to Baringo
Samatian Camp.....how very different to be in such 'Watery' surroundings after our parched and dry previous experiences. Very well looked after by Chris and Rachel after initial Boat transfer by Ross. Amazing bird-life and nestings on the lake (with well-trained Fish Eagle for great photographs en route). Also visited the Flamingos on our day trip away from the Island. A great place to chill out with tremendous food and extra effort to provide our best 'bush breakfast' by the Flamingos as well as a top of the Island Dinner.
Back in Nairobi to be well looked after by 'George' and the opportunity to visit the National Museum of Paleontology ...thanks to an earlier arrival than scheduled (due threatening weather) and thence, sadly, to Jomo Kenyatta.....at the end of a fabulous itinerary.
Special thanks to Sunworld....
Best Wishes,
Charles and Jenny
