Day 3

First full day in MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Early morning pick up from the lodge by a privately chartered river boat and game viewing up downriver to the delta where your private safari guide / vehicle will be waiting for you. After a picnic lunch proceed on for an afternoon game drive. This is arguably one of Uganda’s best park with variety to offer i.e. from river cruises along the River Nile to Chimpanzee tracking in the nearby Budongo Forest alongside the game drives in the park. Wildlife include elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Oribi, bushbuck, Uganda Kob, Bohor reedbuck, spotted hyena and if lucky you could even spot the leopard amongst others. Whilst your guide will cross the Nile with the car on a ferry at Paraa, you will board a private chartered boat just before 1800 hrs. You will drift downriver along the shore for game viewing towards the sunset. To make your cruise even more special, your captain will treat you with cheese & wine. Around 1900 hrs you will arrive at Baker’s Lodge. Meals and overnight at BAKERS LODGE.

Day 4

Second full day in MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

On this day you will cross the River Nile on a ferry at 0700 hrs in the morning to start your game drive towards the ‘Nile Delta’ where the river flows into Lake Albert. This is the best area of the park for game viewing. Your guide will have a ‘packed lunch’ and enough drinking water with him. After lunch you will board an exclusively hired river boat. Your experienced Captain will take you on about 2 hours river cruise for game viewing. You will see many hippos in the water and some of the largest crocodiles in Africa ‘sun bathing’ on the river banks as well as elephants, buffaloes and other mammals coming down to the river to drink. Wind up with about 1 hr to 1.5 hrs trek up the spectacular Murchison Waterfalls. Here, the Nile water drops 44 meters down through a 7 meter wide gap. An astonishing display of Mother Nature’s power and one of Uganda's most spectacular sights. All meals and overnight at the BAKERS LODGE.

Day 5

Morning Chimps Tracking and depart for LAKE ALBERT

Breakfast at your lodge and check-out. Thereafter you will be transferred to the chimpanzee trek base in the Budongo Forest. After a brief orientation depart for the Chimpanzee trekking with your local ranger to see these amazing creatures closest to us. Like us, chimps are highly social animals, care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50 years. In their habitat in the forests, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the tree tops. Chimps usually travel on all fours, though they can walk on their legs like humans for as far as a mile. They use sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to sop up drinking water. The trek easily takes about 3 -4 hrs. Enjoy a packed lunch thereafter and proceed on to Lake Albert. Check-in into your accommodation and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may enjoy a bush dinner in the wilderness weather permitting. Lake Albert Safari Lodge is located on a cliff overlooking the vast Lake Albert with the Blue Mountains across the Lake in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Overnight at LAKE ALBERT SAFARI LODGE.
