I was born in Western Kenya. My interest in nature started in my early school days when I was a member of the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya. After my O-Levels, I enrolled in Kenya Utalii College where I received a Diploma in Tour Guiding and Administration. During the course, I did my practical training in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where I gained an immense amount of knowledge on wildlife and guiding.
My achievements consist of participating in the World Bird Watch Day on several occasions and being an active member of Nature Kenya, an organization that promotes the study and conservation of nature in Kenya and works to improve public understanding of biodiversity. I have worked for Sunworld Safaris since 2005 as a professional Safari Guide in both Kenya and Tanzania. I don't consider my job work because everyday I get to do what I love.
I love to share the knowledge I have gained in the field, over the years and cannot wait to share it with you!

I was born just West of Maasai Mara. I was introduced to wildelife and conservation at a young age through a family freind who was a ranger in Maasai Mara. I used to visit him as a young boy and gained a high respect for rangers and the animals they protect. In school I was an active member of the Kenya wildlife club and never missed a tour to the various parks and reserves.
As a young boy I coud identify several birds by their name. It was therefore simple to transfer this knowledge into ornithological knowledge. I started my career as a guide with Transworld Safaris from 2002 - 2008. I then joined Sunworld Safaris in 2008 and have been here ever since. I have vast experience with wildlife, especially with birds. In March 2009 Sunworld Safaris sponsored me for a one week birding course in Naivasha. I was in the top five of the class.
The Maasai Mara has always been my home, who better to welcome you to Kenya than me!

My interest in nature and wildlife started in my early years in primary school. I grew up in the Rift Valley, an area in Kenya with a lot of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Throughout my schooling I was an active member of Wildlife Clubs of Kenya. My role inthe club sharpened my knowledge in Flora & Fauna. I also began to understand the importance of conservation to protect our beautiful country's rich heritiage.
After my high school education, I joined the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya for training in Tourism and Research. In addition, I did courses in Tourism Administration and French. It was at the Wildlife Research Centre where I learnt most about Wildlife and the eminent danger of extinction facing some species. My internship at Nairobi National park improved my guiding skills a great deal. The highlight of my guiding exposure was with Mara Bush Camp in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where I gained the most experience in guiding and wildlife spotting. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2010 and have had wonderful Safaris with clients from all parts of the world ever since.
I love traveling and especially to see wildlife. I cannot wait to share with you what Kenya has to offer!

My passion for wildlife and conservation started early in life and I was actively involved in conservation as a member and patron of the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya throughout my secondary education. I was able to visit many of Kenya's national parks and game reserves. After working in Samburu as a mechanic for a few months, I re-discovered my passion for wildlife and conservation and started reading materials on wildlife and guiding and within a short time, I became a part-time guide in Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve, and Shaba Game Reserve.
I was then promoted to a full-time guide and I gained a lot of experience in wildlife management. I was able to attend various courses on Conservation and Sustainable Environment Management and I also completed a refresher course in tour guiding at the Utalii College. I have acquired a lot of experience in different parks and reserves after having joined Sunworld Safaris in 2002 I have guided several bird watchers and conducted many safaris with guests from different parts of the world with diverse interests such as photography, filming and conservation. I enjoy showing visitors our beautiful country and learning about their countries.
I am passionate to show you what I love the most! My country Kenya!

I grew up in Nyeri county which borders Laikipia. Laikipa is home to various types of wild animals, most notably large herds of Elephants. I therefore had the opportunity to learn about wildlife from a very early age.
My family lived in the small town of Narumoru which is a stopover for most tourists visiting the Mt. Kenya National Park. As a young boy I was fascinated by the different types of vehicles flocking the area and the enthusiasm with which the guests had about wildlife and Kenyan culture. This experience led me to attain a career in tourism and conservation where I am now a guide for Sunworld Safaris.
I take my guiding with a lot of passion and I believe in giving my guests the best experience!

I was brought up around the Maasai Mara and thus my love for wildlife and nature developed from my childhood. This love of wildlife led me to enroll in the Kenya Utalii College where I learnt about conservation of flora and fauna.
Thereafter, I trained as a guide since my passion lay with showing people the beauty in nature and the animals that inhabit the Mara. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2012 and have since explored the entire country!

I was born in Kwale Count, on the slopes of Shimba Hills, one of the only remaining coastal rain forests. This is where my love for Flora and Fauna was found!
From the age of 08 years, I was obsessed with birds. I used to watch them, trap them and hunt them using a catapult.
After my high school education, I never got the opportunity to venture in any formal learning due to some economic drawbacks. I got my knowledge from the experience I got working at various safari companies. What I learnt at these companies increased my passion for conservation! I even converted to a vegetarian out of the affection I have for th wildlife.
I have had the privilege to visit and work in the major National Parks, Reserves and Conservancies in Kenya and Northern Tanzania. Every minute out in the wilderness is a new experience and a new lesson in my life.
I look forward to sharing these experiences and lessons with you!

Born in Nyeri County at the foothills of Mt. Kenya, I grew up in Nairobi, on the outskirts of Nairobi National Park. My education system entailed among other things, visit these conservation areas and where the wildlife and tourism bug bit me!
I nostalgically remember being encouraged to perform well in our studies in order to visit not only Nairobi National Park, but other premium ones like Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate and Amboseli.
Having learnt the French language and attaining certification in Tour Guiding & Administration, I immersed myself in the deep waters of the industry, dealing with not only the French, but almost all nationalities of the world. As the French say, “petite a petite les oiseaux fait son nid” (“Little by little, the birds make their nest”). I gained invaluable experience in culture, flora & fauna, conservations, etc.
I have been fortunate enough to have guided clients in francophone countries; from the Islands of Seychelles, to the thousand hills of Rwanda (gorilla Trek), to the lowest point in Africa – Dijbouti – Lac Assal 153 meters below sea level. I have also guided clients in Ngorongoro & Serengeti in Tanzania, South Lwangwa in Zambia, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Okavango Delta in Botswana, Etosha in Namimbia to Table Mountain in South Africa. The diversities and different eco systems are mind blowing!!
I welcome you to Kenya, to see the beautiful country through my eyes!

My name is Christopher Jones Kiwinga Mkoji. My birth town, Taita Hills, is very close to the Tsavo National Park. Growing up so close to this Park made my encounter with wildlife come at such a tender age. This early interaction with wildlife fueled my passion for its conservation. I joined Conservation and Wildlife Clubs both in primary and secondary School with a mission of broadening my knowledge in Flora and fauna.
I pursued a Diploma Course in Travel Operations and an IATA-UFTAA Travel Agency Course at the Kenya Utalii College, one of the best tourism colleges in Kenya. To better my communication abilities, I studied German.
Through the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA), I undertook the Bronze, Silver and Gold Level exams in which my performance was exemplary. This came after my realization of top professionalism in tour guiding in Kenya and East Africa.
My passion for nature, conservation and cultural experience is beyond imaginations! I absolutely love to share this with all my clients.
With pleasure, I invite the world to share in exploring wildlife in their most authentic and natural habitats!
