My interest in nature and wildlife began at an early age. I grew up near the famous Lewa wildlife conservancy; which at the time was not fenced in. My favorite time of day was night time because the sounds of the animals from the conservancy would echo through the night.
While I enjoyed those sounds and mysteries of wildlife, there were those in my community who would hunt these animals mercilessly with crude weapons and snares. Seeing this made me develop a strong interest in conservation and understanding wild animals. I wanted to protect all wildlife and got involved in conservation work. I joined the Sunworld Family in 2012 and love being out in the bush. I especially love wildlife photography!
My passion for wildlife continues and I am grateful to show you my world!

I was born just West of Maasai Mara. I was introduced to wildelife and conservation at a young age through a family freind who was a ranger in Maasai Mara. I used to visit him as a young boy and gained a high respect for rangers and the animals they protect. In school I was an active member of the Kenya wildlife club and never missed a tour to the various parks and reserves.
As a young boy I coud identify several birds by their name. It was therefore simple to transfer this knowledge into ornithological knowledge. I started my career as a guide with Transworld Safaris from 2002 - 2008. I then joined Sunworld Safaris in 2008 and have been here ever since. I have vast experience with wildlife, especially with birds. In March 2009 Sunworld Safaris sponsored me for a one week birding course in Naivasha. I was in the top five of the class.
The Maasai Mara has always been my home, who better to welcome you to Kenya than me!

I grew up in Kambaland where taking care of livestock and going to school went hand in hand. I would encounter wild animals such as gazelles, zebras and giraffes on a daily basis. As such, we learnt to take care of our livestock without interfering with the surrounding wildlife; little did I know I would end up in the tourism industry where I would be part of conservation efforts.
I attended Sengani High school where my teachers had already associated me with the tourism industry because of my active role in the wildlife society. This association and constant mention of the industry ignited an interest in me to pursue tourism. I enrolled in one of the leading colleges in Nairobi where I was well armed with the knowledge of a Safari guide. My first job in the in tourism industry was with Jade Safaris in 2006. I was assigned several Safaris in different parks and within a short period of time I had visited all the famous tourist destinations with some Safaris extending as far as Lake Turkana, and the OMO Valley into Ethiopia. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2012 and have since expanded my guiding skills especially with photographers and film crews.
I look forward to meeting you in person and to show you places you may have dreamed of!

I am Maasai, born in Narok County. My interest in wildlife began when I was 19, I was lucky to be taken on a safari (my first) to the Mara Game Reserve by a Catholic Missionary. It was the most fascinating experience I had ever had and I fell in love with nature!
My parents wished for a different career for me, in the Banking Industry. However, I was ready to drop everything and pursue safari guiding with whatever it took! It took me a couple of days to convince my father to sell some cows to raise my college fee. Immediately the funds were available, I joined the Kenya Hotel Institute in Nakuru for my Tour Guiding and Administration course. I then did a two-year course for further Training in Ornithology. To widen my knowledge, I decided to join a prominent Camp in Maasai Mara as a Naturalist / Driver / guide. My job was to conduct nature walks, lectures, slideshows and game drives. I also worked as an Assistant Naturalist / Driver guide for 3 years. Working with Sunworld Safaris has been an opportunity for me to get to know all of Kenya’s fantastic National Parks and Game Reserves’
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you on Safari, Karibu!

My interest in nature and wildlife started in my early years in primary school. I grew up in the Rift Valley, an area in Kenya with a lot of wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Throughout my schooling I was an active member of Wildlife Clubs of Kenya. My role inthe club sharpened my knowledge in Flora & Fauna. I also began to understand the importance of conservation to protect our beautiful country's rich heritiage.
After my high school education, I joined the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya for training in Tourism and Research. In addition, I did courses in Tourism Administration and French. It was at the Wildlife Research Centre where I learnt most about Wildlife and the eminent danger of extinction facing some species. My internship at Nairobi National park improved my guiding skills a great deal. The highlight of my guiding exposure was with Mara Bush Camp in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where I gained the most experience in guiding and wildlife spotting. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2010 and have had wonderful Safaris with clients from all parts of the world ever since.

My passion for tourism developed from a deep urge to interact with people from different and diverse cultures. I quickly got very interested with the captivating stories that guests from safaris in Kenya would tell me of what an amazing country we have. I started reading a lot on our spectacular wildlife, our beautiful landscapes and natural features as well as the history of our people and once I went on my first safari, I immediately knew that this is where my heart was. I devoted myself to guiding those visiting our beautiful country to experience in the best way the marvels of our spectacular country from the flora and fauna, to the warmth of our people, to the awe-inspiring geographical features and everything else the country has to offer.
To this effect, I got the relevant education in this field getting a certificate in tour guiding and administration, a diploma in tourism studies and a bachelor of arts degree in tourism.
